PRE-UNIVERSITY


WHAT IS PRE-UNIVERSITY

Pre- University program is the preparation course for those desiring to gain admission into any of the All Nations University Degree Program. Pre-University program is a one (1) year Program, designed for Senior High School leavers who have narrowly missed qualifying for admission for undergraduate programmes.

 

PURPOSE OF PRE-UNIVERSITY

Pre-University is design to prepare weak students for University Education. It is intended to help student develop the skills, knowledge, understanding and attitudes required for university education.
ANUC Pre-university program help the students to:

  • Be enrolled easily in the university.
  • Be able to get the requisite qualification(academic or professional requirements).
  • Easily enter into the University and any other tertiary or professional institution.

WHO CAN BE ENROLLED?

  • Students with aggregate 25 or more.
  • Students with weak grades in their respective subjects.
  • Students with some failure in their respective subjects.
  • Students having or holding certificates from recognized institution.

Classes are from Mondays to Fridays except for weekend students (Friday and Sat.).

TUITION FEES (FULL PROGRAMME) :Fees is GHC450 per semester for Freshers and GHC400 all the courses.

  • Students holding certificates from any recognized institution.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT
To qualify for admission inot the programme, a candidate must have completed either senior high school or a recognised institution.

ACADEMIC POLICIES

  • Each course is delivered in a minimum of three hours a week for teaching. Two sessions of practicals; three hours each in a week. Each course is inclusive and includes a two-hour end of semester examination, a mid semester examination and tests. Quizzes, assignments which are given on a weekly basis. The end of semester examination scores 50% of  the final mark with continues  Assessment Test (CAT) making up the other 50%
  • Attendance is mandatory in order for a student to qualify for the final end of semester examination; he/she must have 80% attendance.
  • Class will run from 8:00am-5:00pm with 1 hour for lunch(1pm-2pm) and 10:30am-11:00am short break (Timetables will be issued upon registration)
  • Registration of various subjects must be done in the Pre-University Coordinator’s office -Mr. Emmanuel Attah Kumah . The school coordinator’s office will also register enrolled students for their various WAEC examinations.
  • Registration for the University College assumes the student’s acceptance of responding for compliance with all regulation on student conduct published in the Pre-University student Handbook, as well as any rules found in any official University publication.

SEMESTER STRUCTURE
Under normal circumstances the semester shall be structured as the following:

  • 14 weeks of training and learning
  • 1 week of revision
  • 1 week of examination

THE ACADEMIC YEAR
 The Academic Year shall normally consist of two semesters and a summer sessions as follows:

  • First Semester                  ----------     August to December.
  • Second Semester            -----------     January to May 
  • Summer Semester         ------------    June to August.  

GENERAL REGULATION

Guiding Principles

  • The first  guiding principle about student  personal appearance and dressing is that student are dress in  Manner reflecting the  sacred purposed of Christian education which is representing in the vision and Mission of All Nations University Colleges
  •  Student are expected  to portray the  principles of God Kingdom through decent personal appearance and  dressing thereby enhancing the impact of all Nation Full Gospel Church based in Toronto, Canada  with branches in Ghana USA etc.
  • Student must observe the simple rule that there is appropriate dressing for each occasion and place this being so dressing for any activity on campus must be decent and .This being so, dressing for any activity on campus must be  decent and win for each individual student respect from society in general and  the Christian community in particular.

STUDENTS OF ANUC MUST EXHIBIT

  • Christian dignity and simplicity by avoiding carelessness untidiness  and the  opposite extreme of showiness or extravagance
  • Ability to select presentable, durable work cloth of physical work modest casual attire for recreational purposes and more dignified clothing for campus lecture, library, laboratory offices worship, and other formal occasions,
  • Ability to provide the opportunity for others to appreciate oneself, as an entire person without drawing attention through dress or grooming to ones body or person, especially in a sensuous manner .
  • Ability to demonstrate self respect , a sense of mission, good grooming without excessive adornments, expensive jewelry , cosmetics, or facial make ups
  • A flair for selecting clothing and hairstyle which express a God given appreciation for good taste, beauty, creativity and harmony, reflecting an inner freshness of the spirit
  • The taste of wearing decent cloths, suitable for the different sexes

Admission to the undergraduate degree program from pre university

Successful  completion of the pre university  Program indicates  a preparedness to begin university  education. In  order  for a student to gain admission into the degree program, the student must have obtained the following.
1. Must have sat for the ANU placement examination and obtained a CGPA of 3.00 and above at the end of the pre university program. If the student has not received his or her WAEC results, he or she will get provisional admission while awaiting results.
2. Receive a favorable recommendation from a faculty(Pre-university co-ordinator).
3. Complete the TPD requirements.
4. Complete one (I) academic year of the pre-university program
5. purchase the ANU application form the degree programs from the Accounts’s office (students are to take note of the university deadlines)

WHAT COURSE ARE OFFERED AFTER PRE UNIVERSITY?

What a students has successfully and fulfilled all the pre-university program requirement he/she will be allowed to joint the desired degree program at All  Nations University. He/she can study any of the following degree, Diploma or Certificate Course:

  • Electronics and communication Engineering
  • B.E biomedical Engineering.
  • B.E Engineering.
  • B.Sc(Hons) computer science
  • Bachelor of Business Administration with Accounting with specialization in human Resource Management ,According Entrepreneurship, Marketing and Banking& Finance
  • Bachelor of Art in Biblical Studies with a Minor in Business Administration
  • Diploma in Biblical studies
  • Certificated in Biblical studies
  • Certificated in information Communication Technologies
  • B,E. Oil and Gas Engineering.

HOSTEL FACILITIES

Hostels are available to both male and females at very affordable rates. To apply for a hostel facility, a student must contact the Dean of Student's office for direction.
