ANUC Launches Research Fund
By constantly submitting previously known information into new combinations and by skillful probing through intuition or experimentation into the unknown, error can be corrected and new truth discovered.
In pursuance of truth and new discovery, All Nations University College is launching a Research Fund in the amount of ¢ 400 million to encourage vigorous research in the University. It is intended that an atmosphere of goodwill, mutual trust, and common joy in achievement will permeate All Nations University.
The University seeks to pass on to rising generation that which man has learned from his experience. This is to be pursued in an environment of Christian truth and integrity.
Research Funding
The funds are to be accessed by both Faculty and students for research purposes.
Proposals are to be submitted to the Vice President University Advancement for consideration. Funds shall be made available to candidates whose research proposals have the potential to benefit the University and the society at large.
To this end, the University will partner with major research Institutions and Universities, both locally and internationally for joint research collaboration to make All Nations a center of excellence in research and innovation.
All Nations University holds the view that a personal commitment toward excellence is fundamental to the process of higher education. Excellence requires tenacity, a quest to surpass mediocrity, the patience and overcoming of disappointment, the tenderness and compassion of great persons. The university seeks to inflame this passion in its faculty and students by creating this special research fund.
The Objective of the Research Fund
- To fund research for national economic development
- To fund research to harness natural resources to develop the economy and raise the living standard of the people.
- To share knowledge acquired from research with industry and agricultural sectors to enhance production.
The task is immense but this seed money will ignite passion for research that will make All Nations become a great research University. The results of our research will pave way for innovation for the country and Africa as a whole.
The Role of the Ministry Of Science and Technology
I suggest the Ministry of Science and Technology should create a division for research. Its main preoccupation should be to collaborate with Universities in the area of research. Funding for research is a major obstacle for African academicians.
Therefore, the Ministry can encourage active research in Science and Technology by funding research projects at the Universities.
All Nations University College will partner with the Ministry by offering our state of the art laboratories and qualified faculty for research projects for national development.
