DEPARTMENT OF OIL AND GAS ENGINEERING

 

 

Introduction
It has been recently been reported that substantial quantities of hydrocarbons have been discovered along the western coast of Ghana. International companies are involved with the exploitation. The aim of the Bachelor of Engineering in Oil and Gas programme is to train indigenous engineers who can participate in the development of oil operations, and in the near future direct the operations consistent with and procure equipment required for operations at conditions favourable to Ghana’s national interest. The goal of the programme is to produce graduates with strong academic background in Oil and Gas Engineering who have analytical skills. The graduates are to be technically competent and also knowledgeable in the ethics of the practice of the profession in Oil and Gas Engineering.
