Bio-gas Plants

One of the bio-gas plants at its contruction stageAs part of her social responsibilities, ANUC has reached an agreement with the New Juaben Municipal Assembly to build an ultra modern plant for liquid waste disposal for the Municipality.

The Assemble has struggled to efficiently manage the Municipal liquid waste which has contaminated the streams and other water bodies in the area. The contaminated water seeps into the Densu River, polluting the source of drinking water for the municipality and beyond.

The University in conjunction with its Principle, All Nations International Development Agency (ANIDA), Canada are developing a modern BIOGAS plant to handle the liquid waste not only for the New Juaben Municipality but all the 17 Districts in the Eastern Region.

This, the school believes will stop future Cholera outbreaks like the recent one which claimed many lives in Accra and Koforidua and other health risks associated with poor Municipal liquid waste management.

All Nations University College currently has three bio-gas plants with two serving the school of engineering and serving the city campus. These will supply gas for cooking for the kitchen and residential use. They will also used to produce electricity in the nearest future for the university community.
